Octopus Collection

An octopus has three hearts, and two of them stop beating when it swims. 🐙

Even stranger—its blood is blue, not red, because it uses copper (hemocyanin) instead of iron to carry oxygen. That’s great for cold, low-oxygen environments… but it also means octopuses tire out easily when swimming, so they prefer crawling around.
