Starfish Underwater Collection

Many starfish in Bocas del Toro can regrow entire bodies from just a single arm! 🌟 If a starfish loses an arm, that arm can sometimes grow into a whole new starfish, as long as part of the central disc is attached.

Even stranger: starfish don’t have brains or blood—they use a water vascular system to move and eat. They can literally extrude their stomachs out of their mouths to digest food externally before pulling it back in. Nature’s very own “fold-out dining table.”
